Midwifery Student Scholarship Application

Must be a midwifery student currently enrolled in a CPM program, with intention to become a California Licensed Midwife practicing in Los Angeles County.


SELECTION CRITERIA

 

Our board members will review your application and score your application (from 0-5) based on the following:

0= Does not meet requirements or criteria
1= Less than expected criteria
2= Moderate criteria met
3= Meets most of the criteria
4= Meets all of the criteria
5= Exceeds all criteria

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY

  •  Identifies as BIPOC
  • Intends to Serve Medi-Cal clientele
  • Lives or Works in California, USA
  • Lives or Works in Los Angeles County, USA
  • Plans to practice midwifery in Los Angeles County, California
  • Attends or attended MEAC-accredited midwifery school
  • Financial Need (must be 100% of FPL to be eligible)
  • Alignment with HMHBA’s mission

Thank you very much for your application. We will be awarding 1-3 scholarships in the amounts of $500, $1000 and $1500. Awards will be announced in June and December.
