Debbie Benton is our Manager of Community Programs.  She provides administrative support on the Health Net Community Doula Program. Debbie also coordinates our Happy Mama Healthy Baby Community Doula Program. Debbie started working with us as a volunteer in  2014, helping us with our conferences, trainings and programs. She is the Board Secretary of  The Association for Wholistic Maternal and Newborn Health.

 

Debbie has been involved in the birth field for 15 years. She is a Certified Childbirth Educator (ICEA – The International Childbirth Education Association), a Certified Expectations Health Coach (Dr. Sears Wellness Institute), a Certified Lactation Educator Counselor (UCSD), Certified as a Doula specializing in acupressure for pregnancy care and labor support, a Certified Natural Health Consultant and a Reiki practitioner. Debbie is also a Certified Hypnobirthing Instructor. She is also a Certified Midwife Assistant, working in birth centers and at homebirths.  Debbie is a mother of three children born in a birth center.
