Health Net Doula
I am a woman of African descent in America. I practice a Pan-African to life and birth. I have 5 children, all born without any medical intervention, 3 were born at home.I have been trained as breastfeeding peer counselor, yoga instructor, asthma specialist, professional service coordinator, arthritis exercise instructor, personal trainer, nutrition specialist, and promotora de salud. I am currently in school completing my Bachelors of Science in Health Innovation.
Each birth is as unique as the woman that is bringing forth life. It is a time in life when a woman is extremely powerful and vulnerable. During pregnancy women must be supported emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically and that support should be applied during birth and postpartum as well. I am called to this work to help women and their families achieve better birth outcomes. I can offer clients support, advice, best practices and encouragement.
I love to sing jazz, dance, do arts and crafts with my children, watching the “British Baking Show”, baking, camping, doing yoga, spending time in nature, and traveling with my partner and children.
Age Range: 37-42 years
