Janiel Lizardo

Happy Mama Healthy Baby Community Birth and Postpartum Doula

My name is Janiel Lizardo (she/her); I am a trained birth doula, placenta encapsulator, health coach, vaginal steam facilitator, and childbirth educator in training with Lamaze International serving Los Angeles County. I am a first-generation American whose parents immigrated from the Dominican Republic when they were young adults. I’ve had the fortune to travel parts of the Earth due to my family dynamic as a young adolescent. I currently attend University with a major in Community Health and a minor in Social Welfare at Arizona State online.
As a doula, I seek to bring calm and reduce trauma in the birth periods for my clients and dedicate my work to improving my community’s birth outcomes. I have trained in a variety of birth approaches that work with families of all sizes and backgrounds. As a result, I’m comfortable supporting all pregnancy results, including conventional parenthood, surrogacy, adoption, abortion, loss, and individuals unsure about their journey. Besides actively participating in my community, emphasizing marginalized groups and reproductive justice, I enjoy reading books, gardening, and cooking wholesome food.
