My name is Marquita D. Jones and I am a native of South Los Angeles, CA. I am a mother of two girls, 16 and 12 years of age. I have a long passion and dedication to supporting pregnant and parenting families. I have 15 years of experience empowering birthing persons to achieve a healthy birth outcome. I am motivated and passionate to support, advocate and empower birthing persons throughout their pregnancy and birthing journey. I have facilitated classes centered on social support, birth planning, and health education in efforts to decrease maternal and infant mortality within the Black community for nearly 12 years.
 
In my Doula role, I desire to focus on building a safe and sacred space for pregnant women. I have skills to help assist with collaborations between community-based organizations and families that help to promote physical and emotional support.
 
I hope to expand my passion by sharing my experiences, help to bring awareness, and improve the journey of maternal health with families in which we serve. I am excited to contribute my enthusiasm and be a part of a team that is making a difference.
