ABOUT THIS GROUP

A safe space has been created for mothers in the early postpartum period. It covers topics such as infant feeding, family dynamics, postpartum depression, and realistic expectations of the early transition into parenthood. The early postpartum phase can be challenging, especially in today’s world. You can come here to ask questions, get resources, and make new friendships while receiving guidance on your journey into parenthood. You will also make new friends and so will your baby. Mothers will meet to do fun activities such as Paint and Sip, Yoga in the Park, Community Events and Nature Walks.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE

Any mother with a child under 1 year of age. This group will focus on the early stages of postpartum (first 3 months) but is open to anyone who would like to join. Mothers of all cultural backgrounds are encouraged to attend.

FEE FOR SESSIONS

HOW TO JOIN  THE GROUP

 Participants may join at any time. RSVP required 24-hours in advance

BABIES AND CHILDREN AT GROUP SESSIONS

Newborns and babies up to 12 months of age are welcome.

MENTAL HEALTH REFERRALS

Should complex or challenging experiences of participants arise, referrals for individual, couples or child play therapy can be made to our mental health collaborative partners.
