Doula

Happy Mama Healthy Baby Postpartum Doula

My journey into birth and postpartum work grew from a deep passion for public health, maternal advocacy, and supporting families during one of the most tender transitions in life. I’ve always been drawn to work that centers care, education, and equity, and becoming a doula allowed me to bring all of those values together in a meaningful way.

I’m trained as a birth doula through Grounded Beginnings Birth and completed my postpartum doula and newborn care specialist training through the DNT Network. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and rooted in respect for each family’s lived experiences, traditions, and parenting choices.

My background in public health, community outreach, and hospital-based volunteer work, including Black Infant Health and Every Woman Counts, has shaped my commitment to reducing maternal health disparities and improving outcomes for underserved families. I believe every parent deserves support that is compassionate, informed, and free of judgment.

I provide both overnight and daytime postpartum care. Overnight, I focus on protecting parental rest, supporting feeding, and caring for newborns so families can recover. During the day, I offer hands-on newborn care education, feeding guidance, emotional support, light household help, and space for parents to ask questions and build confidence. My goal is always to create a calm, supportive environment where families feel safe and cared for.

I truly believe postpartum care should not be a luxury, it should be accessible, affirming, and community-centered. I’m passionate about working with local programs, insurance options, and community initiatives that help expand access to care for more families.

It’s an honor to be invited into such a vulnerable and beautiful season of life. I strive to be a steady, reassuring presence so parents feel seen, heard, and supported as they grow into their new roles
