I’m Desiree Williams, a certified birth doula proudly serving families throughout Los Angeles County from my home base in Pasadena, California.
 
I became a doula because I know firsthand what it feels like to not be fully heard during birth. After having children, I realized just how deeply women need support, reassurance, education, and someone truly in their corner during pregnancy and labor. Birth is one of the most vulnerable and life-changing experiences a woman will ever have, and I believe no mother should have to navigate that journey feeling dismissed, confused, or alone.
 
This calling led me to receive my professional doula training and certification through Happy Mama Happy Baby Alliance, where I was trained in labor support, prenatal preparation, birth advocacy, emotional support, and comfort techniques designed to help mothers feel more confident and empowered throughout the birthing process.
 
My approach to prenatal and birth support is rooted in advocacy, education, and trust. I believe every woman deserves to feel heard, respected, and fully supported—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally as well. Too often, especially within Black and Brown communities, concerns are overlooked and voices go unheard. My work is centered on helping change that experience by ensuring my clients feel informed, protected, and confident in every decision they make.
 
During pregnancy, I focus on preparing you with knowledge, clarity, and personalized birth planning so you understand your options and feel ready for labor. During birth, I provide continuous grounded support—guiding your breathing, helping manage discomfort, creating a calm environment, supporting your partner, and advocating for your preferences so you are never left to navigate important moments alone.
 
I believe your voice matters. I believe your choices are valid. I believe your experience matters just as much as the outcome. My goal is simple: to make sure you feel safe, supported, and confident during one of the most important moments of your life—because you deserve a birth experience where you are respected, empowered, and never alone.
