Heart & Hands Postpartum Doula Training (4-Day Course)

You get 22 hours of streaming content to watch at your own pace. Also included are a companion slide set and handouts in PDF format. We are available at anytime to answer questions via text, call, email, or zoom.
To finalize your certification, you will need to complete the following requirements:
Within ONE WEEK of course completion, participants will:
Take Certification Exam (Provided in materials section)
Within one YEAR, participants will:
- Complete an Infant/adult/child CPR course and submit proof of certification.
- Compile a Community Resource List for families.
- Write a 1-2 page essay on the Postpartum Doula’s role on the maternity care team and your professional ambitions and plans.
- Assist three families in the postpartum period and submit three parent evaluations and three self-reports. Reporting forms will be provided.
Re-Certification Requirements:
Annually, you must submit a $100 re-certification fee along with proof of attendance at a continuing education seminar (such as a Certificate of Completion) on any topic covered in this course, or by reading a scientific, peer-reviewed journal article (written within past 3 years) on any topic covered in this course, and writing a summary of the article and submitting it. If requirements are not met within one year, you will need to retake this course.
