I am a Perinatal Support Specialist (PSS)  and Certified Community Health Worker (C-CHW), humble wife, and proud mother of five daughters, rooted in faith on purpose and service with intention. I am a dedicated birth worker committed to nurturing families and strengthening communities. I am a woman of color. I use awareness to provide culturally responsive care that honors each client’s lived experience, offers compassionate support and relevant education, and proactively advocates throughout our journey together. As a holistic Perinatal Support Specialist, I embrace ancestral methods and traditional wisdom, integrating them with modern approaches to engage the mind, body, and spirit. I believe in the power of community, the strength of generational knowledge, and the importance of restoring balance and dignity to the birthing experience.
 
As a Certified Community Health Worker, I bridge gaps in care by equipping individuals with information, encouraging confidence in making informed decisions for themselves and their families and empowering the community by organizing a network of resources. My work is grounded in trust, respect, and a deep commitment to health equity. I have been granted opportunities to act as a liaison for clients receiving wrap around services because I speak with healthcare providers, social service providers and community partners to build, mend and maintain relationships. I have also done outreach, provided education by facilitating classes, taught culturally appropriate techniques, and advocated for individual’s basic needs such as nutrition, housing, and chronic disease management. My goal is to hold space, uplift, and walk alongside families as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and beyond. My hope is that you feel seen, heard and supported!
