Doula

Happy Mama Healthy Baby Birth and Postpartum Doula

My name is Taiye Adeagbo and I’m a mother of three, from Berkeley, California. I am of mixed heritage including Nigerian Yoruba, African American, and Native American descent.

Although my educational background is in Apparel Design and Manufacturing, I had the pleasure of raising my children at home for a little over twenty years. Motherhood has given me an opportunity to hone my skills in self-care and holistic wellness.

My interests include hiking, gardening, teaching, and practicing yoga, breath-work and sound healing. Additionally, I love to build communities. I am the owner of Berkeley Girl Wellness Company, a new start up that educates and promotes holistic beauty using nutritionally dense foods, beverages, and yoga.

Also, I am a long-standing member of the Soka Gakkai International, an organization that strives to promote worldwide peace, culture and education and fundamentally believes in the inherent dignity of all life.

I am a recently trained Full Spectrum Doula, and incredibly excited to serve mothers and newborns. I am one of the Certified Postpartum Doulas working on Nurturing Roots Postpartum Doula Services for Black families.

As your community birth and postpartum doula, I will support your emotional needs, provide answers to the many questions that may arise, and arm you with the resources to become a happy mamma with a healthy baby.
