Alyssa Roger is pursuing her Bachelor’s in  Public Health at California State University Fullerton (CSUN). She is an aspiring nurse-midwife who strives for equity in perinatal care. Her mission is to diversify the perinatal workforce in order to lessen racial disparities in the United States. Alyssa also aims to promote midwifery and doula care as evidence-based, effective models of care for populations around the world. She has experience in coordinating with local organizations to provide doula care for single-parent and immigrant families. With the education she receives in her university studies, Alyssa analyzes the outcomes and effectiveness of our professional training programs, doula care services, and other programs we offer. She is a mother of a two year old son.
