Happy Mama Healthy Baby Alliance (HMHBA) is a DBA of Wholistic Midwifery School of Southern California (WMSSC), established in 1993. We are a public charity; as such, we are exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. Contributions to our organization are tax-deductible under section 170 of the code. We are qualified to receive tax-deductible requests, transfers, gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the code. Our EIN # is 95-445-1418.

WHAT YOUR TAX-DEDUCTIBLE DONATION PROVIDES
$100 – Breastfeeding Consultation- Give two-hours of breastfeeding support to a new mother experiencing breastfeeding challenges.
$350 – Childbirth Education – Give a 4-week series of childbirth preparation classes for an expectant couple or single mother.
$500 – Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Training – Provide a scholarship for a low-income person of color to become a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor
$650 – Doula Training – Provide a scholarship for a low-income person of color to obtain training as a Doula.
$750 – Support Black Midwifery – Provide tuition and training assistance to one student midwife of color (may be used for paying school tuition, or enrollment in a skills workshop, or to buy medical equipment). You can earmark your donation for Jazz DeCohen, J. Tranae, or Latrice Matthews.
$1,000 – Provide Postpartum Support – Give a week of Postpartum Doula Support to a low-income family or single mom with a newborn
$1500 to $2000 – Give Birth Doula Support Services – Provide a Birth Doula for a low-income family (includes 3 prenatal visits, labor and delivery support, and three postpartum visits).
$2,500 – Support Birth Emergency Skills Training – Provide a birth worker in Ghana, Africa or USA to participate in our Birth Worker Cultural Exchange Program to gain valuable emergency birth skills [Temporarily suspended due to Covid-19).
$5,000– Sponsor our Conference – Host our Annual Birthing Justice Forum, and provide honorarium for speakers and leading perinatal and mental health experts and CEUs for maternity-care professionals.
OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT US
Donate Frequent Flier Miles – You can donate your frequent flier miles to help us purchase plane tickets to bring in amazing speakers from around the world to talk at our events.
Matching Company Donation – You can make this a monthly donation or a one-time donation if your company provides that.
United Way Charitable Gifting Campaign – If your workplace participates, you can allocate your donation to support us monthly

Our funding comes from individuals like you who believe in our mission and support our causes, projects, and events. Our corporate funding comes from a variety of sources, including:

- California Community Foundation (CCF) for Hospital Improvements and Nursing Education (2011-2012)
